How is Celanese acetic acid produced?

What is the expected shelf life of your acetic acid?
The recommended shelf life of Celanese acetic acid is 1 year. The shelf life dates from the date of packaging; for bulk deliveries, this is the delivery date and is generally applicable to storage conditions specified in the Celanese Product Handling Guide for acetic acid.

What test methods are used to evaluate product conformity?
Many of the Celanese test methods are proprietary information and are available only upon request. Please contact your sales representative for more information regarding test methods.

What grades of acetic acid are available?
Celanese manufactures and sells a wide variety of acetic acid grades, including USP/Pharma, Food, Kosher, Technical, and Chemical grade. Do you have Kosher and Kosher for Passover certified acetic acid?
Kosher product is available in Asia, North America and Europe. All Acetic Acid is Kosher for Passover and year round use. Kosher certificates are available upon request.

Do you meet British Pharmacopeia (BP) specifications?
Celanese does not market a BP grade acetic acid. To the best of our knowledge, our USP/Pharma grade material will meet BP requirements. Please contact your sales representative for more information regarding your BP requirement needs.

Can you provide statements about the following trace impurities and/or components?
Acetic acid is manufacturing via a 100% synthetic process, and can therefore certify that it does not contain many of the common trace impurities or components listed below. For official statements regarding a particular substance, please click on the compound of interest.
