Product Uses

About half of the acetic acid produced is used as a raw material for vinyl acetate. Another significant use is as a reaction promoter in terephthalic acid production. Acetic acid is also a raw material for cellulose acetate, acetate esters, acetic anhydride and chloroacetic acid.
